Pombo invited to buffalo hunt on Rosebud Reservation
Friday, April 9, 2004

Rep. Richard Pombo (R-Calif.), chairman of the House Resources Committee, may or may not participate in the bison hunt that's been arranged in his honor on the Rosebud Sioux Reservation in South Dakota.

Pombo's spokesperson said the Congressman is willing to take part in the hunt but has not committed. "If he is asked to participate, he'd be more than honored to do so," the spokesperson told The Sioux Falls Argus Leader. "If his participation is just really as an observer, he'd be more than happy to do that."

The Rosebud Sioux Tribe and the Viejas Band of Kumeyaay Indians of California are holding the April 19 event, which includes a dinner, to help raise money for RICHPAC, the Congressman's campaign committee. The asking donation is $5,000.

A copy of the invitation flyer can be found at http://www.indianz.com/docs/congress/richpac.pdf.
