The
Senate Indian Affairs Committee will hold an oversight hearing on federal recognition on Wednesday, November 4.
The hearing is titled "Fixing the Federal Acknowledgment Process."
Sen. Byron Dorgan (D-North Dakota), the chairman of the committee, has said the process is "broken."
The hearing takes place at 2:15pm on Room 628 of the Senate Dirksen Office Building.
