Wyandotte trust land notice clarified
THURSDAY, MAY 9, 2002 The Wyandotte Nation of Oklahoma hasn't been approved to conduct gaming on certain trust lands, Assistant Secretary Neal McCaleb clarified in a Federal Register notice published on Wednesday. That decision will be left up to Secretary of Interior Gale Norton and the National Indian Gaming Commission, the notice stated. The tribe has sought to open a casino in Kansas for at least a decade.
