Wyandotte land claim still alive
FRIDAY, MAY 10, 2002

A federal judge this week refused to dismiss a land claim lawsuit filed by the Wyandotte Nation of Oklahoma.

The state of Kansas wanted the case dismissed but U.S. District Judge Carlos Murguia refused and said there are issues to resolve. A tribal attorney said the decision might hamper a settlement with a local county regarding 2,000 acres of land.
